For Dog Lovers
We’re a dog-loving family who believes that the right dog, matched to the right home, can enrich lives in extraordinary ways. Over the years, we’ve chosen dogs from carefully planned breeding to ensure our adopted dog’s temperament and energy level aligns with our lifestyle. This thoughtful approach has allowed us to welcome dogs who truly thrive as part of our family.
When our children were young and we were both working full-time, we chose a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel—an affectionate, calm companion with low exercise needs and a gentle demeanor. As our kids grew older and more active, we added a joyful, adventurous Golden Retriever to the mix. He was the perfect partner for family hikes and beach days, and his boundless love and empathy left a lasting impression on all of us.
Some Goldens are happy-go-lucky softies who don’t demand the same structure as higher-drive breeds—ours was one of those, and he was perfect for our family during that season of life.
During the pandemic, we found ourselves with more time and emotional space to offer a dog with greater engagement needs. That’s when Ripley, our Australian Shepherd, joined us. We approached this new chapter with intention and commitment, believing—as always—that you get out of a relationship what you put into it. Ripley and our Golden Retriever became the best of friends and we believe our Golden boy taught her invaluable lessons in kindness and gentleness before he passed away. The photo gallery has some of my favorite pictures of Ripley and her best friends, past and present, including her Golden brother, Milo.
The loss of our Golden Retriever left a hole in our hearts. As we grieve him, we’re finding hope and joy in watching Ripley experience the miracle of motherhood.
